I’m back! We have broadband – praise and worship Lord Virgin of media!
Summer holidays, two smalls, one house move and I’ve not been short of things to do and people to see and entertain. Lil H and Diva G are on great form, we’ve done lots. Lots of fun and lots of dull. I have lots to share, not quite sure where to start to be honest!
We’ve had our fair share of engineers to wait in for and super tired children in the late afternoon to get through to bedtime a DVD is very useful for such times. A new DVD even better, Universal sent me a preview copy of HOP which I released on DVD on 29th August.
With a “between 12pm and 6pm” delivery slot to wait in for I thought I’d pop it on for H and G. Lil’ H particularly enjoys movies and HOP is from the creators of “Despicable Me” which he really liked. It’s part film, part animation and part blend of the two.
I wasn’t sure if at 4.5 years old I’d be opening the “Why?” floodgates. There were a few “what’s he saying?” but he got the dialogue and storyline. HOP is about a teenage bunny called E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand) who is son of the Easter Bunny (voiced by Hugh Laurie) who adventures to Hollywood to pursue his rockstar dreams.
It’s pretty funny, think Roger Rabbit meets Willy Wonka, there’s a bit of eye candy too if you get chance to sit with them with the rather lovely James Marsden and if he rocks your boat The Hoff is in it too – yes really! We liked it and will be giving the check copy one last viewing before we send it back, luckily it’s available to buy on 29th August and Amazon are taking pre-orders Hop Triple Play (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy)”
There are loads of extras on the DVD and the Blu-ray DVD but also online at the movie site where there are videos, games, apps and more at www.iwantcandy.com and the official facebook page is at www.facebook.com/hop. You can also follow E.B. On Twitter @ebhop
