Once again delighted to be working with Mickey Mouse and his friends and having the opportunity to join the man himself and his missus for their opening night at Liverpool Echo Arena.
Along with hundreds of other delighted children Diva G and two of her BFF’s were thrilled and delighted by the Disney On Ice Silver Anniversary Celebration at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
Favourite princess dresses – check.
Excitement level – MAX (they have been excited for weeks!)
They certainly weren’t disappointed.
Two hours of sensational entertainment, as four of Disney’s most iconic shows were brought to life: The Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Frozen.
Classic children’s stories were brought to life with superb ice skating, brilliant choreography, great sets, amazing performers, and of course the undeniably catchy Disney songs – I didn’t know I knew so many songs so well (the guy sat next to me may disagree!) First was the Lion King then we were off to London with Peter Pan and Wendy.
A sea of real bubbles and colour came next as we headed under the sea to be joined by Flounder, Sebastian the crab and princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
Finally it was time for the Frozen sisters to appear.
If any film was made for the ice show it is of course Frozen and Anna and Elsa, surrounded by a crowd of mini replica’s did not disappoint.
The Frozen segment told the whole story and lasted a good 20 minutes with every second an spectacular show of whirling, twirling, sparkles and lights.
Olaf the snowman received the greatest cheer of all. The special effects and clever staging produced Arendelle and built the Elsa’s ice castle in an incredibly believable way – a truly stunning production.
Before my little princesses nodded off I asked them for their marks out of ten – A MILLION was their reply!
It is by far the best Disney on Ice show I have seen, so I’m giving it five gold stars: ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
There was just the post show journey back to Cheshire. A significantly quieter one than the journey to the show! Sweet dreams little princesses…
