No! Not me my lil’ H! So far we’ve done the follow favourite crazes, In The Night Garden, Pingu, Lightening McQueen & Cars, Finding Nemo and in October Toy Story arrived. I had the DVD of 1 & 2 and in a heavily pregnant with Baby G, in need of a bit of a screen-sitter moment, stuck it on and he was memsmerised – credit to both the movies which are 15 and 10 years old now (readers with older children may remember it first time around?)
If you had been at Lancaster Towers on Christmas morning you would have thought it was “a Disney Pixar production” Father Christmas magically changed H’s duvet cover & lampshade overnight to Toy Story and brought Woody, Buzz Lightyear and H his very own Woody Hat. Check out my Lil’ H and his best mate Woody on Christmas morning, it was the first year H “got Christmas” and it was really very magical and special for him and us all to watch.
We have moved on and the cast is growing at Lancaster Towers and Grandma arrived with a Jess doll last week, very rare and they go for loads of money on eBay. Being honest it hurt, just a little bit, to watch H tear open the box and start hurling Jessie around the room who until seconds earlier was “mint in the box” to quote the movie! But as the story goes its always better to have an owner, be loved and played with and he is getting so much more enjoyment from Jess than money could fetch on eBay! Here’s the new reunited happy family – Buzz out on rescue mission at time picture taken!
All at Lancaster Towers are eagerly awaiting the new release, we recently had a reminder of its greatness with a trip to the cinema to see Toy Story 2 in 3D – it was ace! I loved how excited H and his buddies were and they all got dressed up in their Toy Story gear – so cute!
H has now abandoned his name and we now have to call him “Woody” – what H doesn’t know is that he was very nearly named Woody which is why his middle name is Edward! His Grandma is no longer Grandma she is “Jess” Woody’s favourite cowgirl, Daddy is “Rex” the dinosaur which I find more than a little amusing, I am yet to have a role allocated, I suspect due to lack of imaginative play abilities! But anyway back to Toy Story. Toy Story is my sons world and has been for months and months now and we are now on the roller coaster climb to the new movie coming out on 23rd July 2010. So here’s what I know – our favourite gang of toy characters return in TOY STORY 3 as Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys have an uncertain future that see them land in a nursery room full untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys. It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring “no toy gets left behind.” Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken (yes, that Ken)! Due to extensive financial investment in Toy Story merchanise I have a direct line to the Mouse himself at Disney and have some of the new faces from the forthcoming movie to share with you:
Between now and therelease of the movies new faces will be being revealed to complete the poster above as and when I hear from Mickey, I’ll be tell right here posting the latest! Check back again soon! Claire x
